What ACTUALLY happened this weekend
Dec. 2nd, 2007 02:18 pmFriday: had lunch with Carol. I'm like butter, I make everything better! Saw the Shots. The show was actually kind of lame and sad...same old middle-aged groupies, no one we knew was really there. My mom's pastor was drunk again, which was funny the first time. But he's a nice guy and I wouldn't want him to drive into a tree. So we left early.
Saturday: covered the windows. Didn't go to see Beowulf. But Jason snaked my bathroom sink, and we now have proof that Satan is a cat...because we found his hairball. A gigantic ball of long black hair was blocking the drain from somewhere inside the wall. Gee, I wonder where that came from? (sarcasm). Popped by mom's to find the check...not there yet. Ugh. I could really use that money. Also, stopped by the grocery store and picked up tortellini for dinner. Nummy! Watched some Buffy and went to bed.
Sometimes mundane things like that are incredibly romantic.
Sunday: Didn't go to Hainesport. The hay bales got moved on Saturday (I missed the memo) instead because of the incoming snow. There was about 20 minutes of work left to do today, and I couldn't justify driving 2 hours in the snow and spending about $40 worth of gas to do so little. I do want to let Joan know that I care about her and what she's going through, but I'll have to find another way. Jason replaced all of our dead light bulbs. Hooray for big strong provider man!
And now...not much. And it will be awesome.

Date: 2007-12-05 02:00 pm (UTC)My joints are a bit better overall than they were two years ago, but not as good as last year. It really depends on how cold it is. But thanks for remembering. I try to tough out as much as I can, so few people do.
And remember, if you're bored, create chaos.
