Got too mad reading this article to finish it. I very strongly oppose fertility treatment, for a few reasons. Not gonna start unless a discussion happens in comments, though.

Without stress and extraordinary circumstances, we're just fat lumps of carbon, nearly useless. We barely burn bright enough to see. It's when we endure the unendurable, the extreme pressures and weirdness, that we become precious, more than we were when we started.

Pain has a purpose. The untried, untested, unhurt...are the unspecial.

Never trust someone who dislikes cats because they are too independent. Will they dislike you for the same reason?

Nature intended man to be an omnivore, and he only functions at his best when he lives as such.*

It is only possible for raw ingredients to be all natural.**

Only a fool is content with the limits of his knowledge.

No matter how hard they try to, children cannot love unconditionally. Parents can always push too far.

*I know some of my friends can't live as omnivores, and that is not a criticism of them.
**This doesn't mean that I think all natural is better. Anthrax is all natural.

Neither the citizens nor the market will police themselves. Given a large enough system, regulation becomes necessary.

If you trust your own safety to the self-discipline of others, you will eventually and inevitably be betrayed.

No single method of governance will work indefinitely. Nations that survive use whichever philosophy works at the time.

It is easier to make friends if you listen without speaking.
