One of my coworkers, who is super sweet, took a look at my new tattoo yesterday and was concerned that the skin looked red and puffy. She was reassured today to see that yes, it did heal just fine and it looks normal, just writing on skin.

And I thought to myself just now that people who have tattoos get used to seeing past the damage to the art beneath.

And then I went, "whoa."
