Something that I have often struggled with is all the costs I've had to face in doing the development work here and abroad. despite everything I've been able to do, all the people I've helped, all the lives I've saved or improved, and all my adventures, I'm unemployed, unmarried, living in college housing, and by all standards our society accepts, a general failure. kind of screwed up, no?

Our society accepts a huge variety of standards, depending on which segment you're looking at. I'm pretty sure any segment that doesn't define earning your doctorate as success can go fuck itself. The Federation would laud you.
