My phone still isn't receiving texts. I have hard-rebooted it. I have removed and replaced the Sim card. I have been on and off the phone with AT&T. I will be calling them again this afternoon, after my phone shift ends.

I think it's a reflection of the times that this simple thing has left me feeling a bit stranded. I have this LJ, facebook, twitter, email, regular calling, and a WoW guild made up of actual IRL friends. And yet this one tiny thing has left me feeling disconnected from the world. I won't suffer for the lack of the random brain droppings that people text me, but the anxiety I feel tells me that I'm expecting to suffer.

Also, weirdly, twitter still ships to my phone just fine.

I'm hoping that the HR/secretary/executive assistant lady here at work will still be here after my shift, so I can also find out how to get updates on transferring my service to Verizon and getting my shiny new phone.

Hopefully I won't forget this evening that I took a new pic to add to my various profiles. Because I know y'all want to know how little I've changed since February.
