No, I don't. I believe in hard work, planning, and the ability to recognize an opportunity. I think chalking good results up to luck demeans the person benefitting from good results. I don't discount random chance; everything in the universe is subject to that. But chance goes both ways, and people are just as likely to benefit from a run of bad events as they are to suffer from good ones. It's all in the reaction.

I've survived and prospered after some really rough times; not the roughest, but still enough to call that survival an accomplishment. Saying I'm lucky would be insulting the hard work and quick thinking that led me to where I am, as well as to the good friends I've earned who supported me through those bad times. I'm grateful to have them, but to say I'm lucky would be to say I don't deserve them.
