The most recent self-portrait I have. My hair has grown a fair bit since then, so I should probably do another.
2. What's your current relationship status?
Wonderful. I will elaborate tomorrow.
3. Ever have a near-death experience?
I had a severe enough concussion as a kid that it wasn't safe to let me go to sleep. That probably counts.
4. Name an obvious quality you have.
I can survive anything life throws at me. Tempered in fire, I am!
5. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
Nothing at the moment. Most recent was last night, "King of Kings" by Man-o-War. (It's not about Jeshue bin Jusef)
6. Name a celebrity you would marry.
I don't think I could marry a celebrity. I would not want to be that involved in such a hectic life.
7. Who will cut and paste this first?
Possiblybrilligspoons. She seems to like memes.
8. Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity?
When I was 17 and had a green crew cut and a (fake) nose ring, someone told me I looked like Joan Jett. Most peole lose it when they realize I look like I could be James Hetfield's little sister.
9. Do you wear a watch? What kind?
When I do, which isn't often, it's a C. Fremont that I inherited from my dad. You wind it by shaking it - no batteries!
11. Do you have anything pierced?
Just a hole in each ear. I might get seconds.

My body art is a work in process. I currently have a tiny golden heart over my heart, a sprig of holly over my left kidney, and a cancerian crab over my right. I do have plans for a full back piece, but I am working on it one element at a time.
12. Do you like pain?
I don't enjoy pain, but it usually serves a purpose. Physical pain tells you not to do whatever you're doing with your body. Emotional pain is like the extreme forces that the earth exerts on carbon over millenia. Sure, it starts out as just carbon. But if it can take the hellish forces imposed on it, it comes out the other side a precious stone, stronger and more beautiful that it was before.
13. Do you like to shop?
I enjoy the hunt for a perfect gift, but I despise most other humans. So it varies from experience to experience.
14. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
Coffee this morning.
15. What was the last thing you paid for with your credit card?
My debit card, you mean. An Xmas gift for Jay's sister.
16. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
A rich parent who surprisingly didn't act entitled (the majority of them do).
17. What is on your desktop background?
Work: the writer of www.dailycoyote.com with her bull. Home: a WoW character.
18. What is the background on your cell phone?
My cat sitting on top of his kitty tower.
19. Do you like redheads?
Attractive people with naturally red hair are very rare.
20. Do you know any twins?
I've known a set here and there. I have a good friend who's a twin.
21. Do you have any weird relatives?
All my blood relatives are weird, including me.
22. What was the last movie you watched?
I'm having trouble remembering in what order I've seen movies. It was probably The 13th Warrior, but I can't be sure.
23. If you had $100 to spare, who would you give it to?
Jay. I'm paying down my debt to him, but there's a lot.
24. What was your favourite book as a child?
I read so much and I started so early...But I do have one clear favorite. The Monster at the End of This Book, starring Lovable, Furry Old Grover. My mom used to sit me on her lap and read that to me, doing her very best Grover voice. I will never forget that.
And now I feel all nostalgic and mushy. I love my mommy.
