Conservatives behaving badly

This sort of thing is very common. This sort of thing is why so many liberals are coming to fear and even hate conservatives. These folks may be in the minority, but they are loud and aggressive. They are drowning out the conservatives who aren't insane.

Canada's anti-piracy laws are draconian. The best place to be if you believe in actual innovations in software communication is the US. Everywhere else would have jailed many of my friends by now.

Hey it's illegal here too, they just choose to ignore the issue (like many other things). There is a definitive line between open source and outright piracy.

You'd really have to go to Switzerland for laws less insane than ours. And yeah, a lot of piracy of non-classfied software is ignored...which doesn't happen in most other places in the world. Canada's penal system allows small-time software pirates to be prosecuted as severely as armed robbers. Same in the UK. It's ridiculous.
