I put on makeup. Only it has to be adventurous drag queen / haute couture makeup with fabulous, vivid eye shaddow and well lined eyebrows. Not the type of makeup you go to the store in.
I do this for several reasons. 1. It's something else to focus on. 2. Arts and crafts are fun. 3. When I'm done I look at myself and feel good about what I've accomplished.
Sometimes I'll do the same thing with hair styles. I'll see if I can do a bee hive or try to put all of my hair in tiny micro braids.
