Aardvarks are adorable...but that one was 75 pounds and a baby. And they're mainly insectivores...adults eat tens of thousands of bugs every day.
The snake was a green tree python; illegal to own as pets in the United States, and really difficult to care for. She's actually sitting in a special tank that maintains constant humidity like a greenhouse. They only drink water in the form of condensation, and only when it's overhead, like on the underside of a leaf, or airborne.
There were a lot of awesome animals there. It would probably take and hour and a half to get there from north Jersey.
