A better analogy
Jan. 31st, 2009 05:39 pmI suppose the reason the Israel-Palestine conflict holds so much interest for me is that it exemplifies the way in which affluent nations sit back and waste their power to help. It's been roughly sixty years, and still no peace and no equality.

As a side note, it turns out that I am part Jewish. But my sympathies are with Palestine. This doesn't mean I think it's ok when Israelis die at Palestinian hands...no untimely death should be rejoiced. It makes me very sad. But I do think the Palestinians in Gaza have received the greater portion of the suffering over the decades since World War II.
