What, no one's complaining about the possibility of another huge government bailout? Is it because everyone they're helping is rich?

I am BARELY getting by as it is. I do NOT want to pay increased taxes because investors got screwed. Maybe I would care if I could afford to invest in the first place. But I can't. So I find the possibility of creating a government entity to bail out Wall Street extremely offensive.

On the bright side, the Republican 2008 party platform assures us they're against this sort of stunt:

We do not support government bailouts of private institutions. Government interference in the markets exacerbates problems in the marketplace and causes the free market to take longer to correct itself. We believe in the free market as the best tool to sustained prosperity and opportunity for all.

Proof McCain is a maverick? Or proof he doesn't read his own web site?
