holly_evolvingI'm not saying they're not talented. The music itself is quality. And I'm sure the sentiments are genuine. No, what I don't like about them is...the way they sound. The same way I don't like skulls. You can draw the most beautiful, hi-fidelity, pen-and-ink skull, with gorgeous lighting, that somehow EMOTES even though it has no eyes...
And I'll still hate it because it's a skull in the first place and I don't like skulls.
This is the way in which I don't like the Dresden Dolls. Not that they're bad at music, but that they're good at bad music. I can't listen to 40 seconds of the same chord, no matter how well it's played.
