Candles in the darkness bleeding wax
bright in the dark
lights leading the way
deeper deeper
into the dark woods
fairy lights whispering
come along come along
it will be better if you only follow
better than last time
and the time before that
and the time before that
but fairies lie
it’s never better
only darker and deeper and hollower and lonelier
it’s dry and gray dusty and the wind is so strong
it’s impossible to breathe here
