Dec. 23rd, 2012 12:42 pmNo one will ever hand you what you want out of life. You have to earn it. That doesn't mean being super nice and loveable and cute. No, it means you fucking WORK for it. You make it happen yourself. Write a book, paint a picture, go on cross country photography tour, run for public office. Take a risk. Happiness takes work. Complacency is easy.
And once you've done your big work, PUT IT OUT THERE. Yes, people will tear it down. Maybe it's your first time and it's not that great. Maybe they're just jealous. Doesn't matter why. What matters is that you DO NOT STOP. Do it again. And again. And again. For the rest of your life. Because you will never be done. "Good enough" is the death of happiness.
