RRR

So, there are stains on my carpets. Several of them are from before I even moved into this apartment in March of 2007. The remaining ones are from Shinn spilling food on the floor.

I labored for a long time under the impression that it would cost a lot of money to rent a carpet steamer. Of course, I was wrong.

So I jumped through all the pre-treating hoops: white vinegar, baking soda, Carbona; and spent $40 yesterday evening to rent a steamer and buy some rug shampoo from the local Stop & Shop.

It did NOTHING. There are still dingy gray patches on my dingy white carpets.

At least I know for certain it's stains and not dirt, I suppose.

I'll be trying to get my money back.

And I don't even mind spending the money; what I mind is that I spent it for nothing.

Sore & tired

AT&T isn't accepting online payments right now; something to do with some new accounting process, I think. I vaguely understood the letter they sent me. I'll reread it when I'm awake enough to think clearly.

I bought most of what I need for Saturday. And cleaned. The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is awesome. Way better than the damn rug shampooer.

I'm not done cleaning and will have to continue after dinner tomorrow. Crap.
