holly_evolvingSo, there are stains on my carpets. Several of them are from before I even moved into this apartment in March of 2007. The remaining ones are from Shinn spilling food on the floor.
I labored for a long time under the impression that it would cost a lot of money to rent a carpet steamer. Of course, I was wrong.
So I jumped through all the pre-treating hoops: white vinegar, baking soda, Carbona; and spent $40 yesterday evening to rent a steamer and buy some rug shampoo from the local Stop & Shop.
It did NOTHING. There are still dingy gray patches on my dingy white carpets.
At least I know for certain it's stains and not dirt, I suppose.
I'll be trying to get my money back.
And I don't even mind spending the money; what I mind is that I spent it for nothing.
