Drove down to Flemington Friday night.

Visited Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton on Saturday. A few new pieces, a peachick, and about 2 hours of walking in the sun. Then went to a post-wedding luau, only to discover that the bride in question is Carol from MR! Got to catch up a bit with [livejournal.com profile] thegreyeminence, and finally met Kevin Pease, whose work I've been following for years here (well, not precisely there, but you get the idea): http://www.absurdnotions.org/
Got to see Stardust. Oh. My. God. The Princess Bride is now part of a genre as opposed to a stand-alone film. Wonderful. Go see it. Of course it's not 100% faithful to the book. No movie ever can be, and Gaiman has a habit of rambling. But it's a marvelous translation of the work to the screen, and if it's good enough for Gaiman, it's good enough for me. Took a trip down to TCNJ in the middle of the night to discover that the new science COMPOUND has a gorgeous fountain/art installation in its center courtyard. Wonder if they restored the theater major?

Took Heather to the NY Renn Faire on Sunday, and discovered how difficult it is to wrangle a small child and 7 friends at once. She really is an adorable, tiny bulldozer. I love that kid.

And here I am, tanned, sore, and very, very happy.
