So, you go to the first post of each month for the last year. You copy the first sentence from each, and repost them in order. Like so:
Jan:This past year has been a forge fire, and I am hardened.
Feb:So, I was at a Shots concert last Saturday and I sprained my ankle.
Mar:some worthless piece of shit kid broke my dad's car.
Apr:I had the strangest dream on Monday morning.
May:I will be at the Fairy Festival in Glen Rock, PA, on Sunday, May 7.
Jun:Sorry kids.
Jul:There are fireworks going on outside my mother's house.
Aug:Well, I suppose I owe it to those of you who actually read this to give you an update.
Sep:I took my niece (Heather) to the movies today to see Barnyard.
Oct:Hello, all.
Nov:This is fucking brilliant.
Dec:There are important events afoot that y'all should go to
This was a hard fucking year and I've grown a lot as a person. And I'm damn glad now to tell 2006 to fuck off. It sucked. I'm not going to dwell on it anymore. It's strange, going back and reading my more recent entries, and seeing how the tone has changed. I've gotten a lot better very quickly. I am stronger. There are definitely times when I cannot pick myself back up. But then, there's no one else to do it, so I do anyway. I couldn't have gotten through this year without my friends. Craig was one of them for a time. But I can see, reading back over my journal, that he stopped being my friend long before I noticed. I will try to face 2007 with my eyes open. That's my resolution.
