Went to Rutgers Folk Fesitval on Saturday with Craig. Got to see wolf_nd_shadows rock out with some new designs. Bought a mushy dragon print that Craig picked out. Ran into Extra-Crispy Sean, Aloke, and Snehal from back in the day. Can't believe Sne is going to be Dr. Bhatt! Got rained on. Had fun. Matt, Sam, and Amanda came for a visit, but I think they got bored. Silly Mid-Westerners!

Fairy Festival on Sunday with cosmic_hiccup and Kathy. So awesome! I'm going next year and I'm camping. It was like a hippie love-fest with fairies. I think the organic farm at which it was held was actually some sort of wiccan/hippie commune. In love with a new band, Clan an Drumma. The recordings played on 90.7 up here do no justice to the manic, joyous frenzy of their live show. 5 days later and my legs still ache from dancing, my hands are still bruised from clapping, and my throat is still raw from screaming. Everyone was positive and happy and warm and so GLAD to be there with each other. The food was great and I bought an Indian Choli top that looks AWESOME. I love a seamstress who understands boobs.


I saw Lee there. I just wanted to throw my arms around him and tell him how glad I was to see him. I wanted to ask him what did I do and could he forgive it and could we start all over and be friends again? But he didn't seem pleased at all to see me, and I just couldn't have dealt with him pushing me away again. I can be such a coward.


All the paperwork for the two new jobs is finally done. Postalworker me is coming soon, to be followed in September by Teacher me. Meanwhile, unemployment and a massive tax refund should do me for a while.

A friend of mine, Curtis, whom I love very much, got busted for heroin. He'll probably be gone from my life up here for a couple of years. I hope to whatever gods are listening that he gets clean and gets it together in jail...and that he doesn't mouth off badly enough to get hurt.

Craig pulled a muscle in his shoulder, so no work for him till Sunday. My poor baby!

Cloisters this coming Saturday with Eric and blackscyes. My first trip!

Recording session moved off the 8th...so I'll be at the Fantasy Faire after all.

Do you go to the New Jersey Renn Faire? My roomates are going and one of them is in the cast.

And if you join the post office you too will be a slave for the govenment, I mean federal employee.

I've had a lot of good friends screwed over by the NJ Renn in its various incarnations, and so I choose not to give them my money.

One of the great things about 90-day temping is that I don't have to take the civil service exam...or sell my soul to Uncle Sam. Good thing, since I'm almost an anarchist. www.politicalcompass.org

I was not quite in the middle of the lower left quadrant of the graph a little more left than right. Getting close to communism but not exactly there.

I was in the same quadrant of the graph as Gandhi and the Dalai Lama! W00t!

When I ran into him and mentioned I was there with you, the reaction was uncomfortable. It wouldn't have gone well. You made the right choice. No cowardice about it.
