If you read this,
even if i don't speak to you often,
post a memory of me.
It can be anything you want, it can be good or bad,
just so long as it happened.

Then post this to your journal. See what people remember about you....
(So I can embarass you publicly!)

One memory, the first time we met. It was my sophmore year, the elections were going on and it was my b-day. You introduced me to Dave, and you had, I guess a girlfriend at the time, and we all chilled in my room with Josh while watching the most controversial election ever in history.

To one of my classes this week I told the story of how we met over a visually-impaired praying mantis.

I remembered the first time I met you...and you'll have to forgive me, I don't remember if it was in my freshman or sophomore year. Anyway, at that time, I still didn't get into the whole college mentality, still stuck in that notion that I'm not able to fend for myself, according to my father. It felt weird to be around other people who are weirder than I was, especially those who also weren't afraid of expressing it. In fact, it was so weird, it was scary.

Where I came from, people like that were ridiculed and ostracized immensely...which is why I hated Elizabeth, NJ. Always have, always will. As much as I say I'm from Elizabeth, there is an absence of pride every time I say it...but anyway, meeting you was odd for me.

Yet, I'm glad I did. Looking back, the most random things that you did (and still do) keeps reminding me about the importance of self-expression, regardless of the opinion of others.
