I managed to avoid him by not going downstairs. He was here to visit my mom and talk about in which direction the church is moving and how their congregation is going to move with it...her being the head of the board of elders and all.
She's also a legal writer for Allstate New Jersey, which is like being a lawyer who hasn't taken the bar. A lawyering churchlady, that's my mom. Do I make more or less sense in light of that.
