holly_evolvingSo, my eyesight is about 4 times weaker than my prescription can correct for. This I found out at the eye doctor's today. So I'm getting new lenses. The bitch of it is, they discontinued my frames (Damn you, Bennetton!) so I had to give them up till Monday or so to get the lenses cut to fit. Dr. Jaeger popped my current lenses out of the frames and found an almost-right-fitting pair for them. A bit more angular than I like, but for one weekend, I'll live.
My dad's at war with his sister-in-law, so no staying overnight with him when Craig and I go to 100 Minutes War. Poop. He lives 15 minutes from the site. But since we'll be close and I'm way too UnSeelie to sit through an SCA court, Craig wants to take me and my dad out to dinner. I'm SOOOO glad I get to go to the last war of the season. I've missed way more than I wanted to this year.
Flaming Midget War update (3 weeks late): I saw people dancing in a bonfire. Not walking on coals, not jumping over it. DANCING. IN. THE. FLAMES. It's just not camping without fire and booze. Mmmmm, hot mulled cider and SoCo on a cold October night.
