Generation
Sep. 24th, 2010 01:40 pmMy parents came from a generation who had, by the 80s or 90s, learned everything they needed (vs wanted) to know to function in the world. But that world is over. None of us, not one of us, will ever again know everything we need to know. So we have to remember how to learn. Some of us have to learn how all over again.
This is a great article, not just about how to learn, but also about how to approach technology. Tech will, for the forseeable future at least, advance at such a rate that anything market-ready is already obsolete. Learning is itself an indispensable skill for functioning in the modern world. We will all be beginners, forever.
