Ah, skin woes
Mar. 26th, 2010 09:23 amA few friends are going through stress-induced skin issues, and it got me thinking.
I have godawful skin. I look at other people, and see how smooth their skin is, and just...grr. I hate my skin. It's under control. For now. Since I just started a new product this week. But in a few months, my skin will adapt, and start breaking out again.
Now, chances are no one will notice this except me. My acne tends to not have any color to in, just texture. But, oh, I hate it. I suppose I should be grateful that I don't have any wrinkles, but I just can't get there.
And please, please, don't tell me what I should be doing instead. Because whatever you suggest, it will work for 3-4 months, max, so I'll probably run through it all eventually anyway. And I'm not about to shop in Sephora. Too expensive. I don't even really care that much, but it does wear on me sometimes to not like how I look. Also, I'm not actually asking for advice, just felt like whining.
In case you're curious, this is what I'm doing now
Wash: Aveeno for sensitve skin (with feverfew)
Toner: Burt's Bees Garden Tomato
Moisturize: Aveeno, same line as the wash
Spot treat: J&J clear spot treatment
Blackheads: Boire strips every week or so
Sadly, my skin is way worse the day after a workout. :( So while trying to get in shape is making things physically easier, it's not as good for my self-esteem as it should be.
