So I get an email from careerbuilder.com saying I'm being considered for an administrative assistant, and would I please go online and fill out an application at their website. They're offering in-freaking-credible benefits and $52K a year. So, what the hell, I filled it out. I kind of want to ask them what the hell they're thinking, but who knows? Maybe my ship has come in.
I'm reading Elminster: the Making of a Mage. I love Ed Greenwood. I love his sense of humor, I love his style, I love his ability to write above the sixth-grade level. I enjoy me a good D&D book, sure, but this is the first one I've read by an author who doesn't, thus far, need to be beaten with the "write to your plot's level" stick.
Like of the moment: Doves, especially the mated pair that snuggles in the pine tree behind my mom's deck. I hope Lucy-fur doesn't get'em. She almost attacked an Airedale terrier today, but he was too mellow to look at her. Lucky for her.
