Most men don't want to reach for the good ones
because they are afraid
of
falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just
get the rotten apples from

ground that aren't as good, but easy.......
So the apples at the top think something is
wrong with them, when in
reality, they're amazing. They just have to
wait for the right man to
come
along, the one who's brave enough to climb all
the way to the top of the
tree.

I think he's just saying he thinks your awesome and shouldn't get discouraged because a good man can recognize your value.

I guess I should really focus on the compliment and ignore the packaging, which to me seems iffy. Smacks a bit of "You just need a man to show you that you're special." Also, the bit about the easy ones all being rotten...I don't think he realized the irony of him sending that to me.
