(no subject)

My right ring finger hurts. The nail is ripping off in an unfun way.

My ankle is doing much better.

Oh, yeah, the Wicked Faire.

IT FUCKING ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!

Costume: Goth Alice in Wonderland.
Components: black velvet long-sleeved Alice dress, black stockings, Demonia Predator boots, black suede waist cinch, black waitress's apron as pinafore. Those things fit so much in the pockets--I'm in love. Hair in pigtails, eyes all goth and doe-y. Pink lips. Dog collar, Amy Brown fairy cameo necklace, and an onyx collarbone-length piece Bram beaded for me.

Scottish tribal beats--bought a Clan an Drumma live CD for $5, got a bunch of their other swag for free. Including a balloon that wound up causing many introductions and fun moments. I'm on the photo DVD dancing with it, so I had to order it (the DVD, not the balloon).
Lots and lots of friends and wonderful people present. Got to meet a girl who makes Hungarian porn--not a topic I'm interested in, but oh my was she cute. Lots of magical moments with lots of friends and strangers. The Circle made a great showing during the Voltaire concert thanks to [livejournal.com profile] myq13, aka the Tuscan Raider, and Baby Anila, who is about 18 months old. Myq did the Tuscan raider laugh during a song about Star Wars, and baby Anila squealed "Yay!" quite audibly when Voltaire said "Timmy's down the well?"
Priceless.
Wish I'd had the camera. The Circle made a pile of cloaks for Anila to snuggle on during the performance. Carolina produced a blankie out of somewhere, and with that and Squeak the cuddly toy rat from Ikea, she fell asleep in the middle of the crowd with a wall of Marklanders around her. Living Goth playpen, anyone?
I'm like in love with this kid, she's so awesome. I want her to marry my nephew.

I met Voltaire and shook his hand and he was so cool and so nice cause I was broke so I just wanted to say "Thanks for performing" and he was like "Wait here, I'll get a postcard to sign for you" and I'm so proud of myself that I didn't act all squealy and stupid and then later he signed my balloon so I'm giving it to Becca--
I'm such a silly fangirl now. He's PRETTY! And he's so much cooler than me. SQUEEEEEE!
Project: find out which album has "Goodnight, Demonslayer" and get it as soon as possible.

I arranged a ride with Joe Tate and Kay so Craig could go home early and work for stupid Ramapo shoveling the evil snow. Then Joe arranged for me to get a ride home with Josh (at NY Renn Faire, he is Pixie Stick Man and SuperJew) and rose girl Liz and nut girl Jennifer. But Josh had a Toyota, so we all got a hotel room and watched PCU and ate Tastycake mini donuts. Got home today, passed out, then listened to Clan an Drumma CD. I must make copies as I will wear this biotch out it's so awesome.

Don't wanna go to work tomorrow. Ah well, back to reality.

Hey,

It's Megan, Chase's girlfriend. 'Little Demonslayer' can be found on 'Then and Again,' one of the CDs he was selling after the show. We both picked up a copy and got it autographed.

Yes, isn't Voltaire just beautiful? I'm trying to recruit him as one of my man-slaves. :P

I'm sorry, I met so many awesome people that I don't remember which one you are. What were you wearing? Who were you with? Is Chase the guy with the utili-kilt?

I suck.

No, Chase is the guy with the strikingly handsome mug in the above icon. :)

As for visiting North NJ, sure. The first two weeks of March are not good (I'm on call for work), but sometime after that maybe? You know my email address.

Sometimes, I'm really dumb. Plus, I don't think of you as Chase, I think of you as Kevin. And Chase could be a first name. Email shall happen.

Goodnight Demonslayer is on Time and Again. It's Voltaire's "serious" album. A bunch of songs written over the years that wouldn't fit on his other albums. It also has the song Crusade which is really cool as well.

[identity profile] myq13.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
you can also download the song on his web site http://www.voltaire.net/ in the mp3 section.

Aren't you glad I can influence your spending habits?

“Project: find out which album has ‘Goodnight, Demonslayer’ and get it as soon as possible.”

That album is “Then and Again”. It seems much more serious than his last few, but I keep playing that one track over and over so I don't hear the rest of it as much.

I can't wait for his Rammstein parody to come out on CD.

I don't see enough of you anymore. I'm po'. How do you feel about visiting north Jersey sometime?
