That's the point - no one can write a single, definitive explanation of a trickster. He will change even as you try. You must accept him as he is; you must accept and make peace with a mystery that, no matter how clever you are, you cannot unravel.

If he is a god, then he is a god of unanswerable questions.

But I think he's something other, something undefinable. He simply IS, and let those who would kill truth with ether and preserve it with pins and formaldehyde be damned. Truth is only true when it's alive.
